The following article was originally published as a White Paper by PrecisionHawk in conjunction with the folks over at Skylogic Research. The article makes business assumptions to further define the scope of the plan and to aid the reader in gaining a better understanding of the process steps necessary to convince management of the benefits (and pitfalls) of drone implementation into their business model. One area that is often either completely glazed over or missed entirely is financial analysis. If I've learned one thing in my 20+ years of launching business related and cost savings processes, it's that if the project or initiative doesn't have the support of the finance team, it is doomed to fail. Section 5 of the article speaks in terms of this; however, I encourage you to take one additional step and get someone from the finance team to own part of the effort. As a matter of fact, make them the financial lead so they can get the recognition of doing so and provide the financial foundation required to be successful.
